Managing your team and inviting members

How a team leader sees their organization on the Manage Team page, invites agents, and moves, promotes or removes them.

5 min read

Before you start

  • A group you lead, so the Team section shows in your left sidebar
  • The email address of the agent you want to invite

Tip

Copy the join link from the invite window and send it yourself if the invitation email does not reach the agent.

If you lead a group on CLSD, the Manage Team page is where you see everyone under you and change who sits where. This article covers inviting, moving, promoting and removing agents.

What the page shows

The Team section of the left sidebar, with Manage Team and Team Performance under it, only appears if you lead a group.

Your organization appears as a cascade. Each group is one line showing its name, its level (IMO, Agency or Team), who leads it and how many people are in it. A group with nobody leading it reads "no leader" in amber. The chevron at the left of a group row folds it closed or open, and an empty group reads "Nobody in this group yet." The agents in a group are listed beneath it by name and email, with a Team leader, Agency leader or IMO leader badge on anyone who leads a group of their own and an Inactive badge on a deactivated account. You see your own group and everything beneath it, never the groups above you or alongside you.

The search box (Search groups, names, emails) finds a person or a group. The filters above the tree narrow the list by status (Active or Deactivated), by onboarding (Complete, Needs first order or Needs CRM setup) and by whether the agent has ever placed a paid order (Has ordered or Never ordered). The Clear filters button resets them.

Inviting an agent

Step 1. Click Invite agent

Click Invite agent at the top right. To invite straight into a specific group, open Actions on that group's row and choose Invite agent here.

Step 2. Enter the address and pick the group

Enter Their email address and pick the group under Into which group.

Step 3. Click Create invite

CLSD emails the person a link. The email is titled "You have been invited to join a team on CLSD Leads" and the link expires in 14 days. The same link appears in the invite window under Their join link with a Copy link button, so you can send it yourself if the email does not reach them. Nothing changes until they accept. See Joining a team for what they see on their end.

Pending invitations

Invitations that have not been accepted sit in Pending invitations above the tree, with the address, the group and who sent it. An Expired badge marks one that passed its 14 days. Click Withdraw to cancel one. Its link stops working right away.

Note

An address can have one open invitation at a time, so to send a new one, withdraw the old one first.

Moving, promoting and removing

Every agent row has an Actions button. On somebody else's row it offers four entries. On your own row the Supply leads entry is absent, because supplying yourself is just buying.

Move to another group

Pick the destination under To which group and click Move. Leave Transfer code blank. It is only used for a group outside your own organization, and every group this window offers you is inside it. You can move people between any groups you lead.

Promote to their own group

This creates a new group beneath the one they are in and makes them its leader. Name it under Name the new group (CLSD suggests one, like "Dana's Team") and click Promote. The new group's level follows from where it sits. Under an IMO it is an agency, and under an agency it is a team. A team is the lowest level, so for an agent already in one the entry is grayed out and its label says the promotion cannot go below Team.

Remove from team

This takes the agent out of your organization. Their account, orders and history are untouched and nothing is deleted. If the agent led a group of their own, they stop leading it and the Team section leaves their sidebar.

Warning

After a removal the agent is on no team, and you cannot put them back yourself. Send a fresh invitation, or ask us to put them back. See Getting support.

Supply leads

A window explains that you pay and the leads go to them. Click Continue to the order form to go on. The leads are delivered to their account using their delivery methods, and the order appears on their Orders page.

Troubleshooting

The invitation email never arrived

Send the link yourself. It appears in the invite window under Their join link with a Copy link button. The link expires 14 days after the invitation was sent.

I need to send a new invitation to the same address

Find the old one in Pending invitations and click Withdraw, then create the new invitation. Its link stops working right away.

Promote to their own group is grayed out

The agent is already in a team, and a team is the lowest level. The entry's label says the promotion cannot go below Team.

Remove from team does nothing on my own row

You cannot remove yourself. The entry shows on your row, but it will not go through.
