Requesting a feature or reporting a bug

How to post an idea or a problem on the feature board, upvote the requests you want most, and follow each one's status.

3 min read

Before you start

  • A CLSD Leads account. The board is inside the app, so sign in first.

Tip

For a bug, say what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. Those three lines are usually all we need.

The Feature Board is where you tell the team that builds CLSD Leads what you want the app to do next, or what is not working the way it should. Every signed in buyer sees the same board, so you can upvote the requests you agree with instead of posting the same idea twice.

Open the board

Sign in, then choose Feature Board in the sidebar under Tools, right below Help. You can also go straight to Feature Board.

Post a request

Before you post, look through the list. If someone has already asked for the same thing, upvote theirs instead. A request with more votes is easier for the team to spot.

Step 1. Choose what you are sending

In the New request box, under What are you sending?, pick Feature request for an idea or Bug report for something that is broken.

Step 2. Give it a title

The Request title is one short line that names the request, for example "Export leads by date range" or "Order page does not load on my phone".

Step 3. Describe it

In Details, explain what you want and how it would help you. For a bug, say what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. The more specific you are, the faster we can act on it.

Step 4. Post it

Choose Post to the board. You will see a thank you message, and your request joins the list.

Note

Everyone signed in to CLSD Leads can read your request. It shows your first name and last initial, never your email or your full name.

Upvote a request

Each request has an upvote button on its left with the number of votes beside it. Choose it once to add your vote, and choose it again to take your vote back. You get one vote per request.

The list is sorted by votes, most first, then by the newest. A request you just voted on stays where it is until you reload the page, so the list does not jump around while you read it.

Follow a request's status

Each request carries a status that the CLSD team updates as they work on it.

Status What it means
Open Posted and waiting for the team to look at it.
Planned The team plans to build or fix it.
In progress The team is working on it now.
Completed It is built or fixed and live in the app.
Declined The team decided not to do it.

Troubleshooting

The board sends me to the sign in page

The board is only for signed in buyers, because every vote has to belong to someone. Sign in and open it again.

The form says I have posted several requests today

To keep the board readable there is a daily limit on how many requests one person can post. Try again tomorrow, or email support@clsdleads.io if it cannot wait.

My request is urgent or about one of my orders

Use email for anything about a specific order, a charge or a lead, so we can look at your account directly. See Getting support. A lead that needs replacing goes through the Replacements page, see Requesting a replacement.
